Around 80,000 people from all over the world visited the virtual music convention, “MusicVket1”. A big music event at home became true even in this COVID-19 situation.
HIKKY Co., Ltd. (HQ: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan CEO: Yasushi Funakoshi, Official website: https://www.hikky.life) held a music convention “MusicVket1” on virtual reality (VR) space for 4 days from August 13th to August 16th, JST (japan standard time). A total of 84,280 people from all over the world visited the venue during the event period.
A variety of events have been canceled due to COVID-19. However, we decided to host this event with the strong will that we should not end the opportunities for indies music creators. Also, MusicVket1 was born from users’ requests to hold a virtual event themed with music. Visitors enjoyed meeting with 127 exhibitor groups and five music artists/exhibiting companies at the event.

[What is MusicVket?]
MusicVket is a music convention in virtual space. The event can be accessible not only from VR devices but also smartphones and/or PC. Visitors can go around the booths, enjoy and buy songs, and socialize with other participants including exhibitors. The idea of each booth comes from a futuristic music player; Visitors can enjoy the songs with visual effects performance when they press a play button.

[Famous artists such as Seikima-II and Square Enix joined the event!]
In one of the artists/exhibiting companies booths, Seikima-II participated the event for celebrating the 35th anniversary since their debut on the earth, and some of their songs were sold at the event. Also, the 3D avatar of Demon Kakka, the vocal of Seikima-II, was sold at the event.

Other than that, three songs from “NieR:Automata” the famous Square Enix game were sold, and 3D avatars of 2B and 9S (main characters in the game) came back to the market during the event.

Coming from Square Enix, the idol group “GEMS COMPANY” booth joined the event and three music videos “JAM GEM JUMP!!!”, “Monologue at Metaphysical Boundary”, “Shakariki My Life!” could be enjoyed at the event. Visitors could buy songs or CDs from their booth.

At the “iMarine Project, Nagi/Nami Project” booth, visitors enjoyed and could purchase four songs (“Stand up!”, “Blaze up!”, “The Boon (not available for purchase)”, “Dive to Blue”, and “Cross Emerald”)

At TOWER RECORDS LABEL booth, two songs from Negicco, Up Up Girls (2), Kumari Depart, and Kaika were available to try and purchase during the event.
